Apple Crisp

Cut out the real butter and substitute The Olive Grove’s Butter flavored olive oil in this beauty!


  • 4C  Thinly sliced, peeled baking apples, such as Cortland or Honeycrisp
  • 1/2C  Brown sugar, packed
  • 2T  Lemon juice
  • 1C  All-purpose flour
  • 3/4C  Granulated sugar
  • 1t  Baking powder
  • 1/2t  Salt
  • 1  Egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/4C  The Olive Grove’s Butter flavored olive oil
  • 1/2t  Cinnamon
  • Red Apple Balsamic Vinegar for drizzling


Preheat oven to 350.  Mix apples, brown sugar and lemon juice and arrange in a shallow rectangular baking dish.  Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together.  Add egg and mix until crumbly.  Sprinkle the mixture over the apples in the baking dish.  Drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkle with cinnamon.  Bake for 35 minutes.  Serve warm with Red Apple Balsamic drizzled over the top.
